Covid 19 Guidelines

“Common Sense Above All Else”

Our priority is the health and safety of players, training staff, volunteers, and coaches. We are working to create a safe soccer environment for every player.

In order to participate, each player MUST have a signed waiver in place before they can play!

Guidelines PRIOR to practice or a game:

  • DO NOT come to practice or game IF you have a temperature, not feeling well OR if you or any member in your household have been directly exposed to a person with COVID-19 within the past 14 days.

  • Each player must have their own equipment, including ball, cleats, shin guards, practice jersey, etc.

  • Players should bring hand sanitizer, tissues, and other personal health items they may require.

  • No player should arrive earlier than 10 minutes before practice start time.

  • Practice times will be staggered to minimize overlap during drop off & pick up.

  • Players will have designated area for their bag/equipment.

  •  Guidelines DURING practice or game:

  • Healthy Practices:  All players, coaches, referees, and spectators should practice “good hygiene” by regularly washing their hands with hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.  Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

  • Players & coaches should avoid all but the essential contact necessary during practice/games.

  • Social Distancing:  Players, coaches, referees and spectators should maintain 6 feet of distance WHENEVER POSSIBLE.

  • Coaches/Spectators/Referees are encouraged to wear face masks when 6 feet of distancing is not possible.

  • Players:  Should NOT wear face masks when actively participating in vigorous activity during practice/games.

  • No water, water bottles, drinks or food of any kind can be shared between players. Please label all items.

  • Coaches are responsible to move equipment (ie. Goals/corner flags/etc.)

  • Spectators should sit in groups by family.

  • For games, spectators sit across the field from their team area.

Guidelines AFTER practice or game:

  • Players are asked to quickly gather their belongings and go directly to their car to provide adequate time for the next group to arrive and set up for their session.

  • Players and Coaches’ equipment must be sanitized after each practice/game.

Rest Room Use:

All public restrooms are for single occupancy, WITH THE EXCEPTION of parent/child.
In between users, individuals will need to wipe down and disinfect areas that they come in contact with. (Disinfecting wipes will be provided)

Reporting of COVID Exposure:

  • Parents must notify the Solebury Soccer Board within 12 hours if the player or someone in the player’s home is presumed positive or tests positive for COVID.
  • Coaches must notify the Solebury Soccer Board within 12 hours if the coach or someone in their home is presumed positive or tests positive for COVID.

  • Solebury Soccer Board will notify participants who came in contact with the individual of potential exposure following CDC guidelines and HIPAA regulations on confidentiality.

  • Players or coaches confirmed positive for COVID must quarantine as required by CDC/PA Dept of Health and can only return with a doctor’s approval.
