Competitive Drive, Community Pride

About Us

Solebury Soccer Club is intended to provide a meaningful and enjoyable experience for the people of the community.  We encourage the development of sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, skills and love of the game for all levels.

We are a Community Based volunteer organization focused on strengthening the local soccer community while connecting our athletes to the growing western PA soccer movement.  We support players of all levels, from beginners to competitive.

We offer both intramural options as well as travel.   As a small, tight-knit community, we work very hard to keep our boys and girls motivated and growing together and enjoying the game of soccer.  Through the years we have had many family’s toe the line between intramural soccer and travel soccer. And with many of today’s demands on families, between work and school, and other activities, adding yet another time commitment can be a daunting thought and we can all appreciate that!

Intramural Soccer

Focuses on team building, exercise, and sportsmanship.

We want our kids in intramural to grow and learn in the game of soccer with a low focus on winning and losing.

Intramural practices 1x week, 1 to 1.5 hours long led by coaches and a soccer trainer with weekend games that can be at our home fields or within a fellow clubs facility within a 20 min drive.

Travel Soccer

Also focuses on sportsmanship, team building, and having fun, but with a higher focus on player development and skill.

- T
ravel teams normally practice 2 times per week, 1-2 hours long and led by coaches and professional trainers, in season with a weekend game that should be no more than 45 min drive time to the furthest opponent. (Very similar time commitment to Intramural!!)

- S
ome travel programs practice year round, but we do not, as we understand the issues with committing to a year round schedule. We, as coaches, also understand that our kids want to play other sports. Many of our coaches have children that also play lacrosse, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, and other sports. We understand the time commitment we would be asking any family to make if they joined our travel teams.

- O
ur club is committed to maintaining and growing our youth travel program, so no local child will be denied the opportunity to try out, or be denied access to our program for any financial reasons whatsoever. While the costs are similar, travel soccer (due to trainers, tournaments, uniforms and other fees) does cost each family more but will never be a hindrance to one of our kids trying out and making and playing for our competitive travel teams.

- O
ur travel program welcomes all players interested in playing travel to try out. We do see many talented and motivated soccer players in our intramural program that may not be ‘making the leap’ to the travel teams for various reasons. Hopefully our note has alleviated some of those concerns and may open some doors for your child!
